The short nose has represented one of the greatest challenges in rhinoplasty. This type of deformity typically involves all 3 layers of nasal tissue (ie, skin, internal lining, skeletal support). Short noses present both aesthetic problems and functional deficits. When skillfully executed, the short nose rhinoplasty can produce dramatic improvement.
Generally speaking, nose length, less than one-third of the face length, is considered as short nose.

What is Nose extension?
A short nose when viewed from the
front has the nostrils over exposed. It can also be known as an upturned nose.
Short nose correction is the most difficult among nose jobs and requires a

Short nose correction surgical method
A short nose has an angle that exceeds 110 degrees from the tip of the nose and lips causing the nostrils to be overexposed. Cartilage Surgery
If the cartilage forming the nose tip is raised upwards, the nose tip looks like it is also raised. In this case, the upper cartilage is cut and the legs are fixed downwards, allowing the cartilage to look longer downwards. |

Cartilage Transplant Surgery
If cartilage surgery is not enough, there will be an additional cartilage transplant between the septal cartilage and the wing cartilage to increase the length of the nose tip. The septal cartilage is generally used for this procedure. |
